What is Pilates?
Pilates is a mind-body movement system, and every Pilates exercise is a whole-body exercise. Developed by Joseph Pilates in the early 1900s and now practiced around the world, Pilates stands the test of time because it works to transform body and mind. By regularly performing Pilates exercises under the supervision of a qualified instructor, you can expect to feel stronger, move more freely, and have more energy in your daily life.

Individual Instruction
During an individual Pilates session, you will work on the Reformer, Tower, Wunda Chair, Spine Corrector, and mat. Each session will be specifically designed for your needs and goals.Individual sessions are ideal for those with chronic pain or limited mobility, those rehabilitating from injury or surgery, pregnant women preparing to give birth and recovering after delivery, and athletes, dancers, and musicians looking to improve performance or prevent repetitive stress injuries. For those primarily doing small group classes, an occasional individual session is a great way to boost your Pilates practice to the next level.

In-home Individual Instruction
Sometimes home is the best place for a session. Whether you are an experienced Pilates student who has invested in home equipment,
you are recovering from surgery or injury or in treatment for a long-term illness, home with a new baby, or simply prefer to exercise in
your own space, I am happy to travel to you within Lund. I provide a Pilates mat, Spine Corrector, Magic Circle, and foam roller.
Small Group Classes
My small group classes allow for more personal attention and instruction than you would receive in large group class at a gym, and you
will absolutely feel and see the difference! You will work on the mat and use the Spine Corrector, Magic Circle, and various other Pilates

From Corrie McCrea Nahimi
Hej! My name is Corrie McCrea Nahimi and I’m the founder of Pilates Lund. I’ve been teaching Pilates for nearly 20 years, and I’m so excited to bring individual and small group Pilates instruction to Lund C! I’m a graduate of Northwestern University’s theatre program and completed my comprehensive Pilates certification through Body Arts and Sciences International (BASI). I’ve worked extensively with special populations including pregnant and post-natal women, athletes and performers, and those rehabilitating from injury or surgery. My teaching is grounded in the fundamentals of classical Pilates principles and choreography, while embracing Joseph Pilates’ spirit of innovation. I believe that the client’s individual needs should always guide every
Pilates session. My own personal Pilates practice has helped me immeasurably over the years. From getting me fit for performing, to preparing me for
childbirth and postpartum recovery, to rehabilitation after injury, and even in grief, Pilates has been the most effective tool I have found to
help me stay strong and connected to my body throughout all that life can bring. It’s an honor to be able to offer this tool to others.

I look forward to seeing your Pilates transformation!
